The Avengers In Your Biz?
It’s the big rave right now…
The Blockbuster flick, “The Avengers”. Pulse-pumping adrenaline fix for the year…
Six superheroes: Captain America, Thor, Ironman, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye
Each with individual ‘gifts’ that, once united, can obliterate any enemy…
(Except Chuck Norris, of course)
So here’s my take on how to posses each of their unique skills… to decimate your competition and be the hero in your niche…
- Captain America: Tactical thinker. Under extreme pressure he’ll whip out a strategic action plan with unquestionable confidence. He’ll delegate with such clarity and vision that others are compelled to follow his lead. (Lead with vision and confidence)
- Thor – God of Thunder: He knows what his main strength is. His lightening Hammer. He doesn’t waste time picking up swords or guns. He knows what works and he’ll wield the hammer to annihilate his competition. (Know your strengths)
- The Hulk: One word, “SMASH”. No time to procrastinate. Doesn’t second-guess. Zero hesitation. There’s only one speed, one focus, one objective: To Smash, conquer and demolish his task. (Don’t get distracted, take focused action)
- Hawkeye: As Eben Pagan says, “Get Altitude”. Scale to the highest roof and look down at the whole picture. Keep an eye on what’s working, what’s not and spot the targets that’ll get the best results. (Take time to look at your whole business)
- Black Widow: Stay in the fight. Be grounded, stay where the action happens and sharpen your skills with street-smart, practical experience, not just theory or observation. (If you’re going to preach being an expert, get in the trenches and earn your respect)
- Iron man. Exude confidence almost to the point of arrogance. Display your skills with dynamic impressive demonstration. And have the intelligence to know your enemy. (Your clients won’t believe you’re the best until you believe in yourself and show them)
Let’s face it… we all need a bit of the avengers within us to triumph our daily battle of entrepreneurship, right?
But if you’re sick of fighting the same daily battle by yourself…

Our mission: To eradicate your competition and bring you complete domination.
Think big. Be different.
P.S. Tell me… If they had a 7th Avenger, who should it be? Comment below. Over and out…
I reckon Jack Bauer should be the 7th Avenger! He’s Da Man!
Hell yeah, Jack Bauer is awesome… Miss that show, will have to organise a fix.
Hi Bret-I’d like to see the “Communication Queen” as the 7th Avenger.
She articulates with clarity- the mission, the goals, & the strategy to each of the avengers. She finds the “right words” to inspire, motivate, move and initiate outstanding action. Her words (sales copy) get buy-in at all levels of the mission and lead to successful outcomes.
Classic Nomiki – Love it! So has anyone claimed the title of “Communication Queen” yet?
Spiderman:
Because of his small stature and quick reflexes he shows it’s not the Big that beat the Small,
but the Fast that beat the Slow.
Works in business all the time. If you can’t quickly adapt to the Markets Needs and Desires, you’ll be ‘HIT’ with Profit Losses and eventually knocked out of the marketplace.
Nice One Judd… Man you deserve a gold star for that one buddy. Thanks for sharing!
Wow, crazy post man.
I think Superman deserves a fair go:: an individual who’s every intention serves the greater good, never abusing his super talents, & ever so humble.
Good point Muhammed. Hard one to beat, for sure. My money’s still on Jack Bauer or Chuck Norris.
Hands down my favourite post of yours hon. Not only does it bring back fabulous recent memories of watching this AWESOME movie together (after setting the record for fastest wolfed downed dinner so as to avoid the trailers!)but you have absolutely nailed each characters traits perfectly to the business world.
I mentioned on FB; Bruce Lee being a shoe-in from a martial arts perspective, I think another candidate would have to be the invisible man. But in all honesty, I’m happy with the 6 Avengers we have 🙂
After all, isn’t that another good tip… if it aint broken, don’t fix it? Aka if it’s working like a well oiled machine, ‘more’ doesn’t necessarily mean gain.
Or perhaps I’m still just reeling with fantastic-ness over seeing such a fantastic film! 🙂 Great Post hon! xx
Great post! Another blockbuster hit from Bret Thomson! Coming soon to a business near you!
P.S LOVE the new name for your team 🙂
I second what John and Selise said… love 24… and love the new team name.
Rock on Bret!
